This document sets out the policies for Flitlinks International, a Logistics Company Registered in Uganda and hereafter referred to as “the Company”. Users of the platform are hereafter referred to as “data subjects”. The policy covers the rights of the data subjects and the obligations of the Company under the respective legislation of Uganda in which it’s situated.
“Personal data” is defined as any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (a “data subject”); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier, or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of that natural person.
This Policy sets the Company’s obligations regarding the collection, processing, transfer, storage, and disposal of personal data. The procedures and principles set out herein must be followed at all times by the Company, its employees, agents, contractors, or other parties working on behalf of the Company.
We collect details such as Name, Phone Number, Email and Location
We collect this information to enable us to deliver products to the data subjects and also pick items from warehouses and deliver them to different locations. We also use the Email Information to send notifications/ email messages to the data subjects about their products.
We use the Google Maps API to get locations and avail these location instances to the data subjects whose products we are delivering so they are aware of the product location at all times.
Our application uses the phone Camera to capture images at delivery of products for proof of delivery and this information is stored for future use for as long as the data subject still has access to our systems.
